Hello! My name is Nadeepa Jayasundara. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics at the Wesleyan University. My primary area of research is Atomic, Molecular and Optical (AMO) Physics. My dissertation research focuses on the measurements and simulations of radiative lifetimes of some highly excited states of sodium molecules. In addition to research work, I also work as a teaching assistant at Wesleyan University. As a teaching assistant, I conduct Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism laboratory sessions and grade problem sets for undergraduate physics courses.
Prior to my doctoral education, I acquired an M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University and a B. Sc. in Physics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and crafting.
